The "R'assembler" project for the Clair Bois Foundation offers more than a restaurant by providing a space that combines the art of the barista with seasonal cuisine, in an environment designed to encourage sharing and gathering. Observations conducted in the foundation's existing restaurants have led to the observation that each disability situation can encounter the layout of "classic" tables. It can become a challenge to be able to share a meal. Often the table is too far from the body, and a "medical" arrangement must then be implemented. The table becomes much more than a simple piece of furniture; it symbolizes sharing and conviviality. The project was born from the desire to offer a table that is neither "classic" nor "medical," carefully designed to accommodate without constraints or connotations, flexible and enveloping. The café-restaurant, like the table, is geared towards kindness, hospitality, and conviviality. Like a café, "R'assembler" invites a warm and enveloping experience, reflected in the comfortable benches and unifying shapes. The dual function of barista and restaurant creates an environment suitable for relaxation, work, and socializing.
