“Cans” offers a new approach to food storage spaces by sharing them between two apartments. This innovative system connects two kitchens via central storage units, offering different methods of food preservation. These storage spaces take on a variety of shapes, seamlessly integrating with the kitchens they serve. This harmony also extends to the rest of the plan, evoking the layout of intimate spaces such as bedrooms, organized around a central element: the bathrooms.
The raw materials used in the common areas evoke the industrial aesthetic of the tin can, while touches of color in the more intimate areas recall Pop Art, resonating with the central theme of the project: the “Cans,” the symbol of this art. This concept is inspired by the industry that has shaped many of our everyday objects, including tin cans.
